Racing Equipment, Tools and Pit Gear

Shop sprint car equipment, scales, jacks, tire tools, pit carts, Raceceivers, radios, data gear and shop equipment for sprint, midget and micro teams.

About Sprint Car Racing Equipment, Tools and Pit Gear

A sprint car may be simple compared with some forms of racing, but the equipment around it is not.

Race night still takes scales, jacks, stands, tire tools, gauges, air, fuel equipment, wheel wrenches, pit carts, chargers, lighting, radios and enough organized gear to make quick changes while the track keeps moving. On a touring team, that equipment lives in the hauler every day. On a local 305 or micro sprint team, much of it may be packed into one trailer every Friday night after work.

Shop sprint car equipment and pit gear on RaceTeams.com for 410, 360, 305, non-wing, pavement, midget and micro sprint programs.

This page is for equipment used to operate, service, measure or support the race program. Wheels and tires belong under Sprint Car Racing Parts, Wheels and Tires.

Sprint Car Scales and Setup Equipment

Listings may include race car scales, scale pads, leveling equipment, setup stands, ride-height tools, angle gauges, straightedges, toe tools, wheelbase tools, tape systems and other equipment used to measure or prepare a sprint car.

A sprint team may not spend hours on an alignment rack the way a road-racing team does, but small measurements still matter. Weight, ride heights, axle location, torsion-bar settings, stagger and shock choices all interact with what the driver feels.

Sellers should identify scale capacity, number of pads, display or control unit, cables or wireless components, calibration status where known, battery condition, included ramps and condition.

Jacks, Stands and Sprint Car Lifting Equipment

Sprint cars are routinely lifted, blocked and worked on between sessions.

Listings may include sprint car jacks, low-profile racing jacks, jack stands, axle stands, chassis stands, wheel dollies, engine stands and related lifting equipment.

A tool used every night can develop cracks, leaks, bent handles, worn wheels or damaged locks. Sellers should disclose condition and rated capacity where known. Buyers should inspect used lifting equipment before trusting it under a car.

Tire Tools, Bead Breakers and Groovers

The tires themselves belong in Racing Parts. The tools used to work on them belong here.

Listings may include bead breakers, tire changers, tire groovers, groover blades, siping tools, durometers, pressure gauges, pyrometers, air tanks, nitrogen equipment, regulators, hoses, bleeders and tire carts.

A winged 410 team may spend the evening tracking pressure and stagger as the dirt changes. A pavement team may focus on temperatures and pressures over a longer run. A micro sprint family may be mounting and cleaning smaller tires between heats. The equipment should be listed according to what it actually does, not according to the class logo printed on it.

Sellers should include power requirements, capacity, condition, calibration status where relevant and included accessories.

Pit Carts, Work Tables and Trailer Equipment

Listings may include sprint car tear-down carts, pit carts, work tables, tool carts, rolling cabinets, torsion-bar racks, shock racks, parts bins, wheel carts and portable workstations.

The best race-night equipment saves steps. When a car comes back with a bent front end or damaged wing, the team needs the tools and spares where everyone expects them to be.

Permanent cabinets and built-in trailer systems may fit under Sprint Car Trailers, Haulers and Rolling Assets. Portable carts and movable shop or pit equipment belong here.

Raceceivers, Radios and Communication Equipment

Sprint car communication rules vary widely.

Many dirt events use one-way race receivers or Raceceiver-style devices for race control, while conventional driver-to-crew radio communication may be prohibited in some classes. Pavement events and pit operations can use different communication structures.

Listings may include one-way race receivers, scanners, headsets, crew radios, chargers, antennas, cases and team communication equipment where legal and appropriate.

The 2026 Tulsa Shootout rules, for example, require Raceceivers when competitors enter the track, illustrating why one-way receiver equipment is a real product category in the micro sprint world.

Sellers should not claim that a radio or receiver is legal for every event. Buyers must confirm the current rules and frequencies where applicable.

Data Loggers, Gauges and Portable Electronics

Listings may include portable data loggers, tach recording systems, tire-temperature tools, timing equipment, lap timers, battery testers, chargers, diagnostic equipment and portable electronics used around the race car.

Full-size dirt sprint cars are not defined by complex telemetry, but teams still use data, video, engine information and measurement tools where permitted. Pavement sprint and midget programs may use different levels of instrumentation.

Vehicle-mounted sensors, gauges and wiring sold as replacement components belong under Sprint Car Racing Parts, Wheels and Tires. External equipment used to measure, analyze or support the team belongs here.

Fueling and Fluid-Service Equipment

Listings may include fuel jugs, dump cans, funnels, transfer equipment, fluid pumps, drain pans, spill-control equipment, oil containers and pit-service hardware.

Installed fuel cells, fuel pumps, lines and injection parts belong in Racing Parts. This page is for external equipment used by the team.

Sellers should identify capacity, material, fuel compatibility where known, condition, seals, hoses, valves and any regulatory shipping limitations.

Generators, Lighting and Portable Power

Sprint car racing often happens after dark and far from a convenient outlet.

Listings may include generators, portable battery systems, chargers, extension systems, LED work lights, trailer lights, pit lights, fans and other portable power equipment.

A weekly team may only need enough power to keep chargers and lights running. A touring team may support a larger pit and hauler operation. Sellers should state output, fuel type, hours, service history, included cables and known electrical issues.

Equipment for Midgets and Micro Sprints

Midget and micro sprint teams use many of the same categories of equipment at a different scale.

Listings may include micro sprint stands, scales, tire tools, small wheel carts, engine stands, chain tools, battery chargers, pit carts and race receivers.

Family-run teams should be able to find the equipment they need without scrolling through a page written only for national 410 operations.

Used Team Equipment and Program Sell-Offs

When a sprint car team closes, changes classes or upgrades a trailer, the equipment sell-off can be almost as useful as the car itself.

Listings may include complete pit packages, scales, carts, tire equipment, radios, jacks, chargers, generators, lights and shop equipment.

Sellers should inventory major items individually, identify condition and note anything that does not work. Buyers should avoid assuming that "race team equipment package" means every tool or accessory shown in a trailer photo is included.

What Sellers Should Include

A strong sprint car equipment listing should include equipment type, manufacturer, model, capacity or size, intended racing use, condition, service or calibration status where relevant, power requirements, included accessories, known defects, pickup or shipping details and price.

For communications equipment, include frequencies or system type where appropriate without promising legality. For lifting equipment, include capacity where known. For generators and electronics, include hours or battery condition when available.

What Buyers Should Review

Before buying, review condition, capacity, compatibility, calibration, power requirements, included accessories, current event rules, lifting safety, communication rules, pressure-system condition and shipping limitations.

RaceTeams.com does not inspect, verify, calibrate, certify or guarantee sprint car equipment, scales, jacks, stands, tire tools, radios, Raceceivers, data equipment, generators, fueling equipment, condition, safety, legality, compatibility or purchase outcomes.
