About our Privacy Policy

Effective Date: August 26, 2026
Last Updated: October 12, 2026

RaceTeams, LLC (“RaceTeams,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, retain, and otherwise process Personal Information when you visit RaceTeams.com, create or use an account, publish or respond to a listing, use marketplace, booking, payment, referral, or communication features, use optional high-value Transaction Assistance, communicate with us or other users, or otherwise use a service that links to this Policy (collectively, the “Service”).

This Policy is a notice about our information practices. It is not a contract requiring you to consent to every practice described. Where consent is legally required, we will request it separately. Additional notices may apply to a particular feature, transaction, promotion, or country.

Scope

• This Policy applies to Personal Information RaceTeams processes in connection with the website-based Service. RaceTeams does not offer a mobile or desktop application at launch.

• The Service uses Sharetribe marketplace infrastructure and integrates with Stripe for marketplace payments, Tapfiliate for Promoter Program and referral attribution and commission administration, Trolley for Promoter Program or referral-recipient payouts where enabled, and other service providers. A provider may process information under its own privacy notice when it acts independently.

• This Policy does not apply to third-party websites, applications, payment services, escrow services, shipping providers, social networks, or other services that have their own privacy notices.

• This Policy does not govern how buyers, sellers, teams, tracks, sponsors, service providers, or other marketplace users independently handle information outside the Service. Those parties may have their own legal duties and privacy practices.

• “Personal Information” means information that identifies, relates to, describes, is reasonably capable of being associated with, or could reasonably be linked to an individual or household. It generally does not include information that is lawfully public, aggregated, or deidentified, subject to applicable law.

Personal Information We Collect

Information you provide

• Account and contact information. Your name, email address, telephone number, username, password or other authentication information, mailing or billing address, and the organization, team, business, or racing affiliation you represent.

• Profile, listing, and user content. Biographies, descriptions, racing disciplines, services, sponsorship opportunities, merchandise or classified listings, prices, availability, photos, videos, logos, reviews, and other content you choose to post or submit.

• Transaction and fulfillment information. The items or services involved, order history, shipping information, billing contact information, refunds, disputes, chargebacks, transaction identifiers, booking details, and event information.

• Communications. Messages sent through the Service, inquiries to other users, support requests, complaints, survey responses, and correspondence with RaceTeams.

• Marketing and promotion information. Newsletter preferences, event or contest entries, referral information, and information you submit in connection with a promotion.

• Seller, partner payout, tax, and verification information. Where required for marketplace Seller payouts, Promoter Program or referral rewards, fraud prevention, legal compliance, marketplace transparency, or tax reporting, this may include business records, taxpayer information, bank or payout information, beneficial-owner information, and government-issued identification. This information is generally collected directly by Stripe, Trolley, or another payment, payout, tax, or identity-verification provider rather than through ordinary RaceTeams messages.

• High-value Transaction Assistance information. If you request optional high-value Transaction Assistance, RaceTeams may receive transaction documents, ownership records, tax information, identity documents, banking instructions, or similar information directly from you or through an escrow, payment, legal, or professional-services provider. RaceTeams will request only information reasonably needed for the service, transaction, fraud prevention, or legal compliance. Do not send sensitive documents by ordinary email unless RaceTeams specifically directs you to an approved secure method.

Payment information

Payment-card information is generally submitted directly to Stripe or another payment processor. RaceTeams does not intend to store full payment-card numbers or card security codes. We may receive limited payment and transaction information, such as a payment token, transaction status, card brand, last four digits, billing contact information, payout status, or fraud-risk information. High-value Transaction Assistance arrangements may use an independent escrow provider, wire, ACH service, or another disclosed payment method when appropriate.

We or our providers may collect and use tax information and prepare or deliver tax forms when required by law. The party responsible for tax reporting depends on the payment flow, provider configuration, contractual arrangements, and applicable law.

Promoter Program or referral rewards may be paid through Trolley or another payout provider. Where those features are enabled, the payout provider may collect recipient name, contact information, business information, bank or payout instructions, and identity, tax, or compliance information directly from the recipient. RaceTeams may receive payment status, reward amounts, recipient identifiers, tax-document or onboarding status, and other limited information reasonably necessary to administer the program, reconcile payments, prevent fraud, and meet legal or accounting obligations.

Information collected automatically

• Device and log information. IP address, browser type, device type, operating system, referring pages, pages viewed, timestamps, session information, crash data, and security logs.

• Approximate location. Location inferred from an IP address or similar information. We do not collect precise geolocation unless a feature clearly requests it and you choose to provide it.

• Cookie and analytics information. Cookie identifiers, analytics identifiers, interactions with the Service, and information about whether emails or advertisements were viewed or selected.

• Usage information. Searches, clicks, listing views, account activity, preferences, bookings, and interactions with marketplace features.

• Referral and Promoter Program information. A referral code or link, referring party, landing page, date and time, device or cookie identifier, customer or account identifier, and whether the referral resulted in an account, booking, purchase, sale, or other qualifying activity. RaceTeams may use Tapfiliate or another Referral Provider to administer referral programs, attribute activity, maintain ongoing customer attribution where configured, prevent abuse, and calculate rewards. Conversion records may include a RaceTeams transaction identifier, the RaceTeams commissionable service-fee amount, gross marketplace value or other transaction metadata, and the applicable referral or commission category.

• Marketplace-originated lead and fee information. We may maintain records showing that Users connected through RaceTeams, including Listing identifiers, inquiry or message timestamps, parties, transaction status, and information reasonably necessary to administer marketplace fees, determine whether an off-platform transaction is Marketplace-Originated, prevent fee circumvention, and enforce the Terms. We do not require Users to submit more financial information than is reasonably necessary for these purposes.

Information from other sources

• Payment, payout, referral, verification, and transaction providers. Stripe, Tapfiliate, Trolley, escrow providers, identity-verification providers, fraud-prevention providers, shipping providers, and transaction counterparties, depending on the feature used.

• Other users. Users who communicate with you, identify you in content, report an issue, or provide transaction information.

• Public and professional sources. Race team, racing series, sanctioning body, track, event, point-standing, business-directory, social-media, and other public sources. We may use publicly available business and racing information to identify and contact prospective teams, marketplace participants, partners, sponsors, and service providers.

• Service providers and business partners. Hosting, analytics, communications, customer support, referral and attribution, partner payout, marketing, security, accounting, tax-compliance, and professional-services providers, where permitted by law.

We do not receive consumer contact lists from social-login providers. If social login is enabled later, we will identify the provider and information received in this Policy or at collection.

How We Use Personal Information

• Provide, operate, maintain, personalize, and improve the Service.

• Create and manage accounts, profiles, listings, subscriptions, bookings, and marketplace features.

• Facilitate transactions, payments, payouts, delivery, escrow, refunds, disputes, tax reporting, and communications between marketplace participants.

• Provide optional high-value Transaction Assistance under a separate written agreement.

• Verify users and sellers, prevent fraud, protect accounts, investigate abuse, enforce our rules, and maintain the safety and integrity of the Service.

• Respond to questions, provide support, and send account, transaction, security, policy, and service notices.

• Identify and contact business prospects using public professional and racing information, and send newsletters or marketing communications subject to applicable law and your choices.

• Administer referral programs, attribute qualifying activity, calculate rewards, and detect referral abuse.

• Measure performance, conduct analytics, test features, and understand how the Service is used.

• Comply with law, lawful process, tax and accounting obligations, marketplace transparency requirements, and requests from regulators or law enforcement.

• Establish, exercise, or defend legal claims; collect amounts owed; and enforce our agreements.

• Administer marketplace fees and Marketplace-Originated Lead Fees, investigate fee circumvention, and verify amounts reasonably necessary to enforce applicable fee obligations.

• Evaluate or complete a merger, financing, acquisition, restructuring, bankruptcy, sale of assets, or similar corporate transaction.

• Use information for another purpose that is compatible with the context in which it was collected, or with your consent where required.

If RaceTeams collects information solely to comply with the INFORM Consumers Act or another law that limits the use of that information, RaceTeams will use it only for the permitted purpose unless otherwise required by law. A RaceTeams Seller Profile Reviewed designation is separate from any identity, payment, tax, or statutory seller verification that Stripe, RaceTeams, or another provider may perform.

How We Disclose Personal Information

• With the public and other users. Public profiles, listings, reviews, photos, videos, usernames, business information, and other content you choose to post may be visible to anyone, indexed by search engines, copied, cached, downloaded, or redistributed. Information you send to another user may be used by that recipient.

• With transaction participants. We may provide buyers, sellers, service providers, brokers, escrow providers, shipping providers, or other parties with information reasonably necessary to communicate, complete a transaction, fulfill an order, provide a service, resolve a dispute, or protect the marketplace.

• With service providers and contractors. We may disclose information to companies that provide marketplace infrastructure, hosting, cloud storage, analytics, communications, customer support, security, fraud prevention, payment processing, partner payouts, identity verification, escrow, shipping, referral tracking and commission administration, marketing, tax and accounting support, legal, and other professional services. These may include Sharetribe, Stripe, Tapfiliate, Trolley, and successor or supplemental providers. We limit their use through contracts where required and appropriate.

• With payment, escrow, and verification providers. These providers may process information under their own privacy notices and legal obligations, particularly when they determine how to verify identity, process payments, manage payouts, hold funds, report taxes, or prevent fraud.

• With Promoter Program participants and referral partners. We may disclose limited information needed to validate a referral, prevent abuse, calculate or explain a referral reward, or administer a Promoter Program or referral program. We do not provide Promoter Program participants or referral partners with full payment-card information, passwords, bank-account credentials, tax forms, or government identification documents merely because they referred a User.

• With affiliates and business partners. We may disclose information to entities under common control or to a partner involved in a feature, promotion, event, or service, consistent with the notice provided at collection.

• For legal, safety, and enforcement purposes. We may disclose information when we reasonably believe it is necessary to comply with law or legal process; respond to a regulator; protect rights, property, or safety; detect or address fraud, abuse, or security incidents; enforce our agreements; or establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.

• In a corporate transaction. Information may be reviewed, transferred, or disclosed in connection with a merger, financing, acquisition, restructuring, bankruptcy, sale of assets, or similar transaction, subject to applicable law.

• With your direction or consent. We may disclose information when you direct us to do so or provide consent.

We may use and disclose aggregated or deidentified information where permitted by law. When required, we will maintain such information in deidentified form and will not attempt to reidentify it except to test whether our deidentification processes comply with law.

Public Marketplace Content and Communications

• Choose carefully what you post. Do not include sensitive personal information, private financial information, passwords, government identification numbers, medical information, or information about a minor that should not be public.

• Privacy settings may limit visibility inside the Service, but they cannot guarantee that a recipient will not copy or redistribute information.

• Deleting an account or listing may not remove copies held by other users, transaction records we must retain, search-engine caches, backups, or information retained for legal, safety, fraud, tax, or dispute purposes.

• RaceTeams may review or preserve communications when reasonably necessary to provide support, prevent fraud or abuse, enforce our rules, comply with law, or protect the Service. We do not promise that every communication will be monitored.

Cookies, Analytics, Referrals, and Advertising Choices

We and our providers may use cookies, pixels, tags, local storage, and similar technologies. These technologies may support essential functions, remember preferences, measure use, improve performance, prevent fraud, administer referral programs, and provide or measure advertising.

• Browser controls. You can use browser settings to block or delete cookies, although some Service features may not work properly.

• Cookie controls. Where available, use the cookie preference tool on the Service to manage non-essential technologies.

• Email choices. You can unsubscribe from marketing emails using the link in the message or by contacting support@raceteams.com. We may still send non-marketing account, transaction, security, or legal notices.

• Referral choices. Tapfiliate or another Referral Provider may use a first-party referral cookie or similar identifier. Blocking or deleting referral technologies may prevent us from attributing a referral or providing a referral reward. Additional details appear in the Cookie Notice.

RaceTeams does not currently use Personal Information for cross-context behavioral advertising or customer-list matching and does not currently sell or share Personal Information for targeted advertising. Before enabling those practices, we will update this Policy, implement required notices and controls, and honor legally recognized opt-out preference signals, including Global Privacy Control where applicable.

Because there is no uniform industry standard for legacy “Do Not Track” signals, the Service does not respond to those signals.

Retention

We retain Personal Information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy, including to provide the Service; maintain accounts, bookings, Transaction Assistance files, and transaction records; comply with tax, accounting, legal, and regulatory obligations; resolve disputes; enforce agreements; detect fraud and abuse; protect safety and security; and maintain appropriate business records.

Retention periods vary by data category and context. When information is no longer reasonably necessary, we may delete, deidentify, or aggregate it, subject to legal holds, backup cycles, fraud-prevention needs, transaction records, tax requirements, and other lawful exceptions. Information may remain in backups or third-party caches for a limited period after deletion from active systems. Providers such as Sharetribe, Stripe, Tapfiliate, Trolley, and escrow services may retain information under their own legal obligations and policies.

Security

We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect Personal Information, taking into account the nature of the information and our operations. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

You are responsible for protecting your account credentials, using a unique password, maintaining control of your devices, and promptly notifying us of suspected unauthorized access. Do not send passwords, full payment-card information, government IDs, tax records, or bank documents through ordinary marketplace messages or ordinary email unless RaceTeams has specifically directed you to an approved secure method. If a security incident affects your Personal Information, we will provide notice as required by applicable law.

Your Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live and whether the applicable law covers RaceTeams and the relevant processing, you may have some or all of the following rights:

• Confirm whether we process your Personal Information and access information we maintain about you.

• Correct inaccurate Personal Information.

• Delete Personal Information, subject to legal exceptions.

• Obtain a portable copy of certain Personal Information.

• Opt out of the sale or sharing of Personal Information, targeted advertising, or certain profiling.

• Limit certain uses or disclosures of sensitive Personal Information, where applicable.

• Object to or restrict certain processing, or withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.

• Appeal a decision we make about a privacy request where applicable.

• Use an authorized agent to make a request where permitted by law.

• Receive equal service and pricing without unlawful discrimination for exercising a privacy right.

To submit a request, email support@raceteams.com with the subject line “Privacy Request” or use the privacy request form when available. To appeal a decision, use the subject line “Privacy Appeal.” We may take reasonable steps to verify your identity and authority. We will respond within the time required by applicable law and may extend the response period when permitted. We may deny or limit a request where an exception applies, including where information must be retained for a transaction, legal obligation, fraud prevention, security, dispute, tax, accounting, or legal-claims purpose.

Where legally required, we treat a recognized browser-based opt-out preference signal, such as Global Privacy Control, as a request to opt out of sale, sharing, or targeted advertising for the browser or device that sends the signal. Because RaceTeams does not currently engage in those practices, the signal may not change the Service at launch.

U.S. State Privacy Disclosures

This section supplements the Policy for residents of U.S. states that grant additional privacy rights. It applies only to the extent the relevant law applies to RaceTeams and the Personal Information at issue. Terms such as “sell,” “share,” “targeted advertising,” “sensitive data,” and “controller” have the meanings assigned by applicable law.

RaceTeams does not sell Personal Information for money and does not currently share Personal Information for cross-context behavioral advertising or use it for targeted advertising. We disclose information to service providers, transaction participants, referral partners, and others for the purposes described in this Policy. We will update our notices and choices before introducing a practice that is treated as sale, sharing, or targeted advertising under applicable law.

Children and Minors

The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect Personal Information from a child under 13. Account holders must be at least 18 years old and must confirm that they meet this age requirement when registering.

An adult may create or manage a profile or listing involving a minor only if the adult is the minor’s parent, legal guardian, or otherwise authorized to do so. The adult should not post the minor’s home address, exact birth date, school schedule, medical information, financial information, government identification, or other sensitive information.

If you believe a child under 13 has provided Personal Information to us, or that information about a minor was posted without proper authority, contact us. We will review the request and take action required by law. Where applicable, a California resident under 18 may request removal of content the resident posted, but removal may not be complete in all circumstances.

The Service may link to or integrate with third-party websites and services, including Sharetribe, Stripe, Tapfiliate, Trolley, escrow providers, referral services, shipping providers, social networks, and user-operated websites. Tapfiliate may process referral-attribution and commission information; Trolley may process recipient onboarding and payout information and, where enabled, tax or compliance information. RaceTeams does not control those third parties and is not responsible for their privacy, security, content, or practices. Review the privacy notice of each third party before providing information. This statement does not limit any responsibility RaceTeams has under applicable law for its own selection, configuration, or use of a service provider.

Supplemental Information for Users Outside the United States

RaceTeams is based in the United States. Personal Information may be processed in the United States and other countries where RaceTeams or its providers operate. Those countries may have privacy laws that differ from the laws where you live. This section applies only where the identified regional law applies to RaceTeams and the processing at issue. It does not extend a regional right to people outside that region.

European Economic Area and United Kingdom

Where the EU GDPR or UK GDPR applies, RaceTeams is the controller of Personal Information it processes for its own purposes. Depending on the activity, we rely on performance of a contract, compliance with legal obligations, consent, or legitimate interests. Our legitimate interests may include operating and improving the marketplace, preventing fraud, securing accounts, communicating with business prospects and users, administering referrals, enforcing agreements, and establishing or defending legal claims, provided those interests are not overridden by your rights and interests.

You may have rights to access, correct, erase, restrict, object, receive data portability, withdraw consent, and complain to your local supervisory authority. You may object at any time to direct marketing. We generally respond to valid requests within one month, subject to lawful extensions.

When required, transfers of Personal Information from the EEA or UK to the United States or another country will be supported by an applicable adequacy decision, standard contractual clauses, the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or Addendum, participation in an approved data-transfer framework, or another lawful mechanism. We will provide information about the applicable mechanism upon request where required.

Canada

Where Canadian private-sector privacy law applies, RaceTeams designates its Privacy Lead, reachable at support@raceteams.com, as the person responsible for privacy compliance. We collect, use, and disclose Personal Information for purposes a reasonable person would consider appropriate in the circumstances and obtain consent where required. We remain responsible for Personal Information transferred to service providers for processing and use contractual and other measures appropriate to the information and service.

Personal Information may be processed outside Canada, including in the United States, and may be accessible to courts, law enforcement, or national-security authorities under the laws of those jurisdictions. Canadian users may request access or correction and may challenge our compliance by contacting the Privacy Lead.

Mexico

Where Mexican private-sector data-protection law applies, RaceTeams is responsible for the Personal Information described in this Policy. We process information for the primary purposes needed to provide accounts, marketplace, booking, payment, payout, Transaction Assistance, support, security, fraud-prevention, tax, and legal-compliance services. Marketing, prospect outreach, referral programs, and optional personalization are secondary purposes that may be limited or opposed as provided by applicable law.

You may request access, rectification, cancellation, or opposition, revoke consent where applicable, or limit use or disclosure by contacting support@raceteams.com with the subject “Mexico ARCO Request.” We may ask for information needed to verify your identity or authority. Transfers to providers and transaction participants may occur as described in this Policy and as permitted by law. Financial, patrimonial, or sensitive information will be handled with the consent and safeguards required by applicable law.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. We will post the updated Policy and revise the “Last Updated” date. If a change materially affects how we use previously collected Personal Information, we will provide additional notice or request consent where required by applicable law.
